A 127 acre nature park with forest, wetlands and prairie. There are three miles of trails with boardwalk over water. One paved trail with boardwalks. Interpretive Center with exhibits and live animals such as snake, frogs, turtles and fish. Naturalist programs for the public

Directions
Interstate 694 to University Avenue, north on University Avenue approximately 4 miles to 85th Avenue, west on 85th one half mile. Springbrook Nature Center is on the south side of 85th Avenue. From the north: Highway 47 south to 85th Avenue, west on 85th Avenue one half mile.
 
Parking
Two designated accessible parking spaces, located in the parking lot near the main park entrance. Accessible parking space 11 feet wide.
 
Entrance
Located approximately 100 feet from the parking lot. No exterior steps. No automatic doors. Doors not easily opened. Two entry doors, 39 inches wide, open out with handle located 36 inches above the floor. Glass doors have handles clearly marked in contrasting color. No steps inside the entrance.
 
Public Restrooms
Located inside the entrance of the Interpretive Center. Accessible without steps. Doors are 35 inches wide, open in. Turns are required to enter. Wheelchair accessible stalls: 34 inch wide doors open out. Grab bars are available. 19 inch toilet seat height, 11 inches between the commode and the wall. Sink height is 33 inches. Pipes under sink are not wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.

Counters are 39 inches high.
 
Types of Paths to or Around Park/Attraction
Wood chip, boardwalk, bituminous. Paths are accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Total of three miles of paths, the shortest being one-third mile.

For guests with visual impairments: Hands-on exhibits such as natural artifacts, skeletons, furs. Signs with contrasting background
For guests with mobility impairments: Written material to assist guests using wheelchairs, to find the fastest and easiest route to where they want to go within the Nature Center.

Free parking and admission.
Trails are open daily, sunrise until 10:00 p.m.
Interpretive Center Hours:

Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sundays: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Weekdays: April October: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
November March: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed on Holidays
