Description Under a canopy of giant oak, hemlock and pine trees more than 100,000 bedding plants are grown in on-site greenhouses each year to fill the large flowerbeds that come alive every spring and summer. Among the flowers you’ll find granite benches along the river path, a superb view of the Mississippi River, a lily pond, intricate walkways and footpaths, a fountain and an interpretive center. |

Directions From I-94, take exit 171 and head north on County Road 75. Turn right on to Washington-Memorial Drive, turn right again onto 10th Street South. Cross the Mississippi River and then turn left onto Kilian Boulevard. From U.S. Highway 10 take State Highway 301(Minnesota Boulevard) west to Kilian Boulevard, then go north on Kilian Boulevard. From State Highway 23(Division Street), go south on Wilson Avenue to Riverside Drive and follow the river south to the gardens. |
