Directions
Located in the Mall of America s east entrance, level one. The Mall of America is located at the intersection of Interstate 494 and Highway 77 in Bloomington.
 
Parking
Numerous accessible spots are available around the Mall. RV parking is available on the north side of the Mall.
 
Entrance
Located in the Mall of America s east entrance, level one. No exterior steps. Automatic doors are available at the mall entrance. There is an escalator and elevator available to get down one level to the entrance of Underwater Adventures.
 
Food and Beverage Facilities
Vending machines are available near the main entrance. Tables located near the vending machines. Table height 29 inches. Aisles between tables are 48 inches wide.
 
Elevator
Located on the wall next to the escalator. Serves all levels. Door width 42 inches. Control buttons are 44 inches high. Elevator car interior is 82 inches by 66 inches. Buttons are in Braille and raised. Door stays open for 6 seconds. Audible floor change signal.
 
Public Restrooms
Located on the entrance level by the elevator and on the lower level near the escalator. Accessible without steps. Doors are 34 inches wide and open in. One turn required to enter. Wheelchair accessible stalls: 36-inch wide doors open out. 19-inch toilet seat height, 35 inches between the commode and the wall. Sink height is 34 inches. Pipes under sink are wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women.
 
Public Telephones
Accessible phone located on lower level near the elevator. Lowered phone is available. Numbers are recessed. Amplified headset is available.
 
Gift Shop
Aisles are 44 inches wide. Counters are 42 inches high. Aisles clear of temporary displays.
 
Types of Paths to or Around Park/Attraction
Paths are accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Some grades may require assistance for persons in wheelchairs. There are two distinct paths, the first part is a downhill path through the first part of the attraction. The second half is a 300 foot-long curved tunnel, complete with a moving walkway that simulates a scuba diving adventure - but without getting wet! The moving walkway is 31 inches wide. Next to the moving walkway is a non-moving walkway, which is 36 inches wide.
 
Special Services
For guests with hearing impairments: Written scripts available with advance notice.

For guests with visual impairments: Hands-on exhibits such as petting tanks where you can touch sharks, rays, horseshoe crabs and many other creatures of the sea.
