Directions
From Mpls./St.Paul take I-94 west to Sauk Centre then go north on Highway 71. Go 16 miles north of Park Rapids and turn west onto Highway 113. Go 20 miles west and turn left onto Becker County Highway 35. Continue 4 miles south and see Rainbow Resort sign on your left.
 
Parking
Accessible parking spaces located 60 feet from the Lodge and 150 feet from the Lodge up a blacktop path 6 feet wide. Parking space is 10 feet wide. Nearby ramp well marked.
 
Entrance
Lodge located at the west end of the resort. Two exterior steps, 5 and 7.5 inches high. Ramp provided. No automatic doors. Doors easily opened. Two entry doors, 36 inches wide, one opens out, one opens in with a knobs located 38 and 35 inches above the floor. Glass doors have handles clearly marked in contrasting color. No steps inside the lobby.
 
Facilities
No steps from the lobby level to the restaurant, lounge, meeting rooms, other public rooms. Luggage handling available. Signage printed in contrasting colors. Non-smoking rooms available.
 
Accommodations
CABINS: Three wheelchair accessible cabins, located 100 feet from the lake. Housekeeping. Cabins 8A and 8B have two double beds, one queen bed 1 sleep sofa and 2 cots are available. Cabin 2 has three double beds, two twin beds and one sleep sofa. Bed frames unobstructed beneath. Unnecessary furniture removed upon request. No step cabin entry. 60-inch circular clear space in cabin and in bathroom. Roll-in showers in all three cabins. Hand held showerheads. Clearance under the sink is 29 inches. Pipes under the sink are not wrapped. Handrails with toilet. 19-inch toilet seat height. Wheelchair can be parked beside the toilet for a lateral transfer (32 inches minimum). Smoke alarm with flashing light. Extended drapery rod pulls.
CAMPGROUNDS: Camping spaces have electrical hook-up, water, sewer hook-up. Personnel are available to assist with hook-up. Pull through sites are not available.
 
Restaurant
Six tables for guests in wheelchairs, 28 inches high, located in the Lodge. Aisle width between tables is 52 inches. Menus available in large print, on non-glossy surface.
 
Public Restrooms
Located in the private shower room, resort guests only. Accessible without steps. Doors are 36 inches wide, outer door opens out, inner door opens in. Turns are required to enter. No stalls, no handrails. Toilet seat is 18 inches high, 16 inches between commode and wall. Clearance under the sink is 29 inches. Pipes under the sink are not wrapped.

Wheelchair accessible phone located in the Lodge.
 
Safety Procedures
Wheelchair guests routinely assigned to first floor rooms. Front desk personnel routinely made aware of guests with disabilities, and their type, in case of emergency. Additional emergency measures for wheelchair/ mobility impairment, visual impairment, hearing impairment: call fire department and assist guests with evacuation.
 
Types of Paths to or Around Park/Attraction
Packed wood chip paths are centered through the cabins leading to and from the Lodge and to parking areas for accessible cabins. One area of paths 27 feet long with steep grades may require assistance for persons in wheelchairs.
