Ard Godfrey House

Description
The oldest frame house in the Twin Cities. Built in 1849, this Greek Revival structure was the family residence for the Maine millwright who helped build the first dam and sawmills to put the waterpower of the falls to use. The Godfrey House is a small, pioneer type home not adaptable for wheelchair use. There is a ramp into the house and the first floor is available but the rest of the house is not suitable for wheelchair adaptation.
