The Hill House is an 1891 historic house museum offering year-round tours, special events, and meeting facilities.

One block west of the Cathedral of St. Paul near the intersection of I94 and 35E.
 
Parking
Street parking only. Visitors may be dropped off at the front door. Nearby ramps well marked.
 
Entrance
Located at the front center of the house. Four exterior steps, each 8 inches high. Handrails on left and right. Ramp provided at the left side of the house. No automatic doors. Two entry doors, 44 inches wide, open in/out with a knob located 33 inches above the floor. No steps inside the entrance.
 
Elevator
Located at the west end of the house. Serves all levels. Door width 41 inches. Control buttons are 40 inches high. Elevator car interior is 79 inches by 51 inches. Buttons in Braille, raised. Door stays open five seconds. Audible floor change signal.
 
Public Restrooms
Located in the basement. Accessible without steps. Doors are 36 inches wide, open out. No turns are required to enter. Wheelchair accessible stalls with grab bars. 19 inch toilet seat height, 12 inches between the commode and the wall. Sink height is 33.5 inches. Pipes under sink are wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women. Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.
 
Public Telephones
Accessible phones located in the first floor reception area. Lowered phones available.
 
Gift Shop
Aisles are 65 inches wide. Counters are 29 inches high. Aisles clear of temporary displays.
 
Staff Training
Tour guides have been trained to serve guests using wheelchairs, guests with mobility, visual, and hearing impairments. Training lasts for one hour upon initial hiring and on an ongoing basis as needed with group tour reservations.
 
Types of Paths to or Around Park/Attraction
Paved driveways and walkways. Paths are accessible to persons with mobility impairments. 100 feet to the door.
 
Special Services

For guests with hearing impairments: Signing interpreters available with advance notice. Written scripts available.

For guests with visual impairments: Guided tours: guides can assist visitors with tactile perception. Signs in large print, with contrasting background, printed on a non-glossy surface.
