| Sibley House Historic Site |
Description
State historic site consists of a site office (the 1854 Dupuis House) where guests assemble, and a 75 minute guided tour of three structures from Henry Sibley's American Fur Company post. All structures are barrier free on the first floor only. |

Parking
Two designated accessible parking spaces, located at the House and two more at the Cold Store. Accessible parking space is 12 feet wide. Accessible aisle is 8 feet wide. Nearby ramps well marked. RV parking is available. |
Entrance

Food and Beverage Facilities
Tables are available on the east and west porches of the Dupuis House. The porches are located on the first floor. Each porch has tables for guests to bring their own lunch. Table height is 30 inches. Aisles between tables are 36 inches wide. |
Public Restrooms
Located on the first floor of the Dupuis House. Accessible without steps. Doors are 36 inches wide, open in. No turns to enter. Grab bars are available. 19 inch toilet seat height, 18 inches between the commode and the wall. Sink height is 36 inches. Pipes under sink are wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women. Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available. |
Gift Shop
Aisles are 36 inches wide. Counters are 33 inches high. Aisles are clear of temporary displays. |
Staff Training
All tour guides and management have been trained to serve guests using wheelchairs, guests with mobility, visual, and hearing impairments. Training is held annually in the spring prior to the start of the season. Training consists of roundtable discussions of experiences encountered and solutions, plus an overview of the Smithsonian s do s and do not s. |
Types of Paths to or Around Park/Attraction
Paths are made of bituminous with crushed limestone sealcoat. Paths are accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Length of paths is greater than 100 feet. |
Special Services
For guests with hearing impairments: Signing interpreters available with advance notice.
For guests with visual impairments: Hands-on exhibits such as each room in the historic houses has a relevant object that may be handled and explored manually with your tour guides assistance. Signs in large print, with contrasting background, printed on a non-glossy surface.
For guests with mobility impairments: All visitors to the site are assisted by a uniformed tour guide who opens doors, interprets each space and assists guests with their own specialized tour. |

Thursday through Monday. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last tour starts at 3:45 p.m.).
Sunday - Noon to 5 p.m. (last tour starts at 3:45 p.m.).

School season may vary.
