17 miles west of International Falls on Highway 11.
 
Parking
One designated accessible parking space, located in the lot in front of Grand Mound Center. Nearby curb cut well marked. RV parking available.
 
Entrance
Located at the front of the Center. No exterior steps. Doors easily opened. Two entry doors, 70 inches wide, open out with a grab bar handle located 40 inches above the floor. No steps inside the entrance.
 
Food and Beverage Facilities
A water cooler is located near the front entry. There is an outdoor picnic area.
 
Public Restrooms
Located in the front lobby. Accessible without steps. Doors are 34 inches wide, open out. Turns are required to enter. Wheelchair accessible stalls: 33 inch wide doors open out. Grab bars are available. 19 inch toilet seat height, 15.5 inches between the commode and the wall. Sink height is 33 inches. Pipes under sink are not wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.

Lowered phones available.
 
Gift Shop
Aisles are 30.5 inches wide. Counters are 34 inches high. Aisles clear of temporary displays.
 
Types of Paths to or Around Park/Attraction
Grand Mound Trail is wide, flat, well-packed gravel. Path is accessible to persons with mobility impairments. No steep grades requiring assistance for persons in wheelchairs. Length of path is mile.
 
Special Services

For guests with hearing impairments: Amplified audio units. Signing interpreters available with advance notice. Written scripts available.
For guests with visual impairments: Audio cassettes and portable tape recorders. Hands-on exhibits such as a curiosity center where guests are encouraged to touch tools and art work of the prehistoric & historic native cultures that stayed on this site. Signs in large print, with contrasting background, printed on a non-glossy surface.
For guests with mobility impairments: Each visitor is greeted personally with an explanation of the site and amenities. A trail guide is available.
